On-Set Technical Advising

Having experienced technical advisers on set is one of the most effective ways to ensure authenticity while keeping production efficient.  We work closely with the production team, actors and supporting artists on matters of realism, proper protocol and firearms handling, and provide expert input to costume and art departments. Just as importantly, we serve as an extra set of eyes for continuity, often catching potential issues before they become post-production problems

Script Consultation & Development Support

Our involvement often begins long before cameras roll. By collaborating with writers and producers during the early phases of development, we help ensure that historical context, terminology, and technical nuances are on point. Offering realistic alternatives to action sequences, helping refine dialogue, and suggesting period-accurate details can all enrich the story without compromising its pace or narrative drive. Our advisers are storytellers at heart balancing authenticity with dramatic needs to enhance, not hinder, the creative process.

Post-Production, ADR & Continuity Review

Advisers aren’t just useful during filming post-production can benefit just as much. Issues such as incorrect ADR (automated dialogue replacement), flawed military terminology in crowd scenes, inconsistent foley work, or continuity slip-ups can emerge without expert input. While post is sometimes overlooked in this regard, the absence of technical oversight during this phase can inadvertently undermine the attention to detail applied during the shoot. Having an adviser available ensures the final cut maintains the high standards set during production.

Pre-Production Training & Immersive Bootcamps

Building strong on-screen chemistry and unit cohesion among cast members starts with proper preparation. Our immersive training programs and tailored bootcamps instil a sense of camaraderie and authenticity that resonates on screen. Drawing from real military and law enforcement training methods, these sessions help actors embody their characters more deeply understanding not only their physical actions but also their mindset, values, and cultural background. Whether it’s for a specific branch of service or a particular historical era, these programs strengthen performance and can be the difference between a cast simply performing and truly living their roles under demanding shooting conditions.
