ABOUT THE COURSE.

The FSFT Stage 1 Basic Course is the introductory level of training with Tactical Screen Training Northern Ireland. This course was created for performers, supporting artists and production staff who have little to no firearms or stage combat experience. 

COURSE LAYOUT.

This course explains and teaches all the fundamentals that are required for safe competent handling of real, blankfiring and airsoft firearms on set.The training combines practical lessons and scenarios for you to develop confidence, competence and new skills.

This then develops to the use of real firearms on a range with live rounds, to give you a realistic understanding of how this can develop your acting authenticity in TV and Film.

The course cumulates with an opportunity to record a showreel with our in-house media and production team.

WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR.

HOW IT RUNS.

The course is run across three continuous days, in which you are required to be fully flexible. Training takes place across the Belfast and the North Down area's, and are led by an incredibly experienced, qualified and professional staff team.

COURSE OUTCOMES.

Having completed this course you will have acquired an accreditation and one showreel scenes and an opportunity for additional ones. You will also then be eligible to apply for our Advanced Course (Coming Soon)

All locations are accessible by Public Transport and private vehicle. For compliance with our training. You must hold valid Access NI Clearance or be willing to provide this on commencement of the course. Members of Equity, The Extras Dept, Casting Ireland or Extra Extra or BECTU registered crew do not require this.
